MDA position statement on euthanasia

The Making Decisions Alliance has produced a position statement on euthanasia. The intention is for this document to be used pro-actively in response to an Early Day Motion tabled in Parliament about the links between the Draft Mental Incapacity Bill and euthanasia and in response to letters that the MDA have received from pro-life groups.

MDA welcomes the inclusion in the draft Mental Incapacity Bill of advance directives but is disappointed that the Bill does not include mention of advance statements.
